2022 Chenin Blanc
Tasting notes
Tangerine candy, citrus blossom, coconut, pineapple, guava, mango, and a nutty hazelnut balance with the bright acidity and light nature of Chenin Blanc. Pair this wine with seafood, especially when grilled with lemon, and light salad dishes.
Production notes
The grapes were hand-picked and natively fermented from the organically certified Massa Estate on Sept 17 and were de-stemmed into a bin for two days skin contact before pressing. The juice was transferred to neutral French oak barrels where it underwent a long native barrel ferment lasting three months, giving this wine richness and texture to a normally lean white wine. Aging continued in the same barrels until bottling in June 2023.
